New Welsh poll blow for Cameron

New research by ITV Wales suggests the Labour lead over the Conservatives there is increasing.

Topline voting intention figures, with changes from January, are Tory 29% Labour 32%, LibDems 12% and Plaid Cymru 14%. The Tories have dropped 3% since January.

On a uniform swing throughout the Principality, this would give the Conservatives 8 seats – 18 behind Labour. It’s a major disappointment for the Tories, as although Wales has traditionally been a Labour stronghold, the Opposition swing had been much better than that across the UK as a whole.
