The Slogger thinks some inglorious and vulgar trumpet-blowing is in order.

In the last week or so, The Slog has outlined four issues…about which examples have quickly come to pass:

* Political advertising masquerading as Government truth – the Ed Milliband climate-change commercial has been reported to Ofcom for this very offence.

* It’s so much easier to get lies believed with information overload….see the Sarkozy ‘affairs’ Twitter hoax.

* That Lehman’s trading ‘partners’ held a gun to their head and precipitated collapse…former Lehman staffer Carlo Pellerani says HSBC pulled the same stunt as JP Morgan.

* The banks are still in a dreadfully parlous state in terms of both income and balance sheets….the Treasury is reported (with the FSA) to underwrite Bank Bond issues…and – by the way – exacerbate the domino factor revealed by the Slog two days ago.
