has set the followers digging for more.
This morning, other papers followed it up: there are features in The Telegraph, The Guardian, and last night the FT also led with it for a while – the Pink’un posted nineteen minutes after The Slog.
The papers are now awash with news of a second eruption and yet more clouds – we wonder if the EU’s combined Met Offices can do any better with this one. The Times, meanwhile, focuses on Gordon the Helmsman ordering half the Royal Navy here, there and everywhere – but apparently as usual its a meaningless gesture: senior Scrambled Egg Colonel Richard Kemp said:
“I would question whether the Royal Navy warships really exist for this type of mission, and indeed whether such a task would be contemplated outside an election.”
That’s for the lack of body armour, Gordon. Ouch.
