Gordon Hussein and New Labour’s human shield

As you may have noticed, commander in chief and staunch defender of that middle English working man in the hard-working immigrant single-parent family Sadman Brown has been lining up his cadres of human blackmail in readiness for what now looks like an inevitable invasion of his territory.

Over the last few days, Gordon has warned the Alliance forces of Liberals, Baby-forking Tories and the other lot who used to vote Labour that old people, children, nurses, police, and he will be put to death the instant that the bailiffs arrive at Ten Downing Street.

To paraphrase the old saying, “Greater cowardice hath no man that he would lay down his voters dignity to save his life”. Gordon really has been laying it on with a trowel of late – but anyone who truly imagines that Cameron’s pc army has any intention of mounting an attack on the working class must be either Vanessa Redgrave or Ed Balls. Since 1955, anything between 27 and 35% of them have voted Tory anyway.

The Tories won’t attack the ordinary voter: they’ll tackle the unearned privilege of the feather-bedded bureaucrat. And they’ll do something about the eight million male Brits of working age doing nothing except pick up a benefits cheque. Cameron will cock it up of course – but at least he’ll try.

“Fear,” said John Adams, the second US President , “is the foundation of most governments.” But a later Chief in the Oval Office said, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”.

We’re all going to have to accept this: it’s going to hurt. A majority of the Nation are going to notice nothing more than a bit less to spend. A large minority will lose their jobs and perhaps their home. But hardly anyone is going to die – and if they do, then look to the Hewitts and Jowells who squandered, not the Tory-lites who do at least know we’ll have to cut back bigtime.

Meanwhile, there are others in what’s left of the Blairite camp who worry at nights about exactly what weapons of mass destruction Gordon has. Gordondammerung beckons…
