Still talking up his game in Poplar & Limehouse, Respect candidate George Galloway was asked by the BBC last week if he had in the past been supported by the Islamic Forum for Europe, an extremist organisation based in his former constituency. Astonishingly, Galloway replied:
“I don’t know who is or isn’t a member of the IFE, and I have only the haziest idea what they stand for, but the organisation has never approached me for help or attempted to influence me.”
As Geobbels used to say, “If you tell a lie, make sure it’s a big one”. You’d go a long way in East London to find someone – anyone – who believes that outrageous cobblers. And as for the ‘only the haziest idea what they stand for’, do leave it out George – you must’ve been the crap MP of all time not to know what the biggest Islamist mosque in the West was about….given it was slap bang in the centre of your constituency.
