Somebody emailed me this question yesterday -meaning, aside from being dependent on each other, what have they got in common?

It’s actually a very good question. This is my answer:

1. They both ask for other people’s money.
2. They both say they want the money for a good reason.
3. They’re both incompetent.
4. They both end up insolvent.
5. They both wind up insisting we give them more money because they lost the first pot of money.
6. Neither of them deserved either pot of money in the first place.
