AFGHANISTAN: Those going all wickileaky are a tad behind the music.

The Guardian’s ‘expose’ of the War in Afghanistan is little more than a reprint of the Wikileaks postings. Quite a few of us out here in the real world have been using some of the stuff for weeks – as the list of Slog related articles below attests.

Although for some reason the Guardian of our thoughts and mores chooses not to see the ‘smoking gun’ of Pakistan’s intelligence duplicity in these documents, it’s there and smelling of cordite for anyone whose sensory equipment is working.

The Slog is not a master-spy, 2000 moles around the world news conglomerate; none of this documentation is high-level intelligence, otherwise I’d never have got a sniff of it. But it definitely is evidence of the double-game being played by regional allies. The loopies at the Guardian see any and all accusations aimed at Pakistanis as racism; this is why its conclusions are wrong and its coverage behind the music. They probably got hold of the same leaks I did – and then dismissed them as the work of right-wing fanatics.

For what it’s worth, the Times sees the documents as damning evidence of Pakistan’s guilt. But either way, there’s nothing new in any of this.
