ANYONE FANCY COMING TOPARTY?

The Buddhists say that good always comes from bad, and the argument was borne out yesterday when I found myself commenting on a daft Daniel Hannan piece. He wrote a Conference snippet about ‘Lefties’ that was puerile and full of traditional Tory bias, and so – as is my way when faced with tits from any of the ‘main’ Parties – I pointed out that he was as one-dimensional as his Left-Right circa 1884 model of British politics.

But in doing so, I wrote down (purely to poke fun) a Left/Right belief system – the gag being “I believe in the stuff on the right-hand side, so I must be a man of the Right”:

Big battalions v Small people
SupraState vs Community of individuals
Globalist drivel v Sustainable capitalism
Undeserved privilege v law-abiding citizen
Monied politics v Clean politics
Corporate tax avoidance v Personal honesty
Looking at it last night, I thought ‘Actually, that’s not half bad….I’d vote for that’. As a list (and our culture has become little more than a collection of lists now) it also has the benefit of summing up everyone and everything I don’t like by reading the left (rather than Left) hand side: The TUC, socialworkers, the EU, Theodore Levitt, Dianne Abbot, Lord Ashcroft, Peter Mandelson and corporate tax accountants. And that’s just for starters.
If you walk around the room, its eyes seem to follow you everywhere. It is The Third Way, cold fusion, A Sign, the Truth and the Light….or maybe it’s just a list.
As you may have spotted from yesterday’s penultimate posting, I’ve had enough of just being a seer. I’d like to move on now to being a bloody irritating seer who thinks of electronic ways of poking the Establishment on all levels with a sharp stick. Or indeed, physically unpleasant and humiliating ways of doing it.

A Movement is born. All ideas and thoughts would be welcome.
