Back in business, but the mystery remains unsolved

SLOG BACK ONLINE AS OF 17.20 GMT

Having been suspended by WordPress for ten hours today (on a charge of violating the Terms & Conditions) I have just been informed that the suspension is lifted.

There had been a complaint. The complaint was that the site contained ‘offensive spam’. The adjudicators reviewed the complaint and decided it was without foundation.

Last week I applied to the site Technorati to write for them, enclosing samples of  The Slog’s output. Back came a rejection, describing the content as ‘spam’. The two things may be entirely coincidental. But you never know, do you? Because you never know the substance, source, timing or motive for the complaint.

Whatever it was, I’m relieved that WordPress dismissed it. But it is simply more evidence that, without a rule of law and equality before the law, there can be nothing: no civilisation, no liberty and no compassion: just the arbitrary rightness of might.

And it seems that even with nothing to see, the site got 1,550 hits. Only The Slog can do this. Because it thrashes the pants other sites cannot reach.
