Whoever is in post is doomed to the same fate that befell each that went before.

The FA’s desire to avoid diverting any of the funds earmarked for the money pit known as Wembley was always going to be an issue in naming Rednapp the moment Levy laid his card on the table.

Football for the masses hasn’t got a prayer.

Some would comment the F.A. management accurately reflects the excitement, sophistication and intelligence required to play, understand and appreciate the ‘beautiful game’, It’s not about ‘sport’ ( football does not require the level of fitness of many less well payed competitive physical activities ) it is all about milking the hoi poloi for what they can, and can they! and after ripping off the punters the aforesaid fans then go and buy all the merchandise the players are paid to advertise; its a mug’s game really.

The only way to silence the tabloid whinging is to appoint a readers’ choice, followed a short while later by the papers trashing their own readers for their stupidity and short sightedness.

Obviously Harry didn’t pass the “Fit and Proper Persons Test” that the FA apply so diligently. Pity they didn’t do the same when passing “Fit and Proper” the host of money launderers, gun runners, skint and non existent Arabs, fraudsters etc that they foisted on Pompey FC as owners.

I am disappointed in your Mr Slog, out of the 2, Roy did at least have some qualifications for the job.

The way we play football at home is not the same kind of football we need to play to be competitive in Internationals., at least I can be sure Roy understands that.

As he is not the press packs choice I should imagine he will be hounded out by September.

Having limited themselves to Englishmen they were bound to choose Hodgson as the obviously best qualified. Unless they’d wanted to return to MacLaren. They could have marked time for the Euros with Pearce or Southgate, but to what end?

They REALLY are a bunch or extremely mediocre CNUTS.
But then Jeremiah *unt IS the Minister for Culture AND Sport insn’t he?
And inspirational choice – as I believe I didn’t say.
With this kind of management they may not even find their way to the Ukraine, never mind find their way to the knock-out stage.

They’ve given him a 4 year contract for what exactly? His record is one of mediocrity and the style of football is as bad as Graham Taylor’s was.
The FA want taking out and sh**ting but then again we all knew that after they insisted on pushing ahead with Wembley!
