I read your comments on their Bill40 when I see them but I stopped visiting the DT when it changed.

As a “half right info place, read between the lines” it has now become through political pressure an “everything is alright camp”. On any article ever published there is always two halves good and bad, ignoring the bad means the good is most often useless as you need the bad component to highlight those good spots.

I also noticed that there is no coment facility on the first article on this blog. However, having read Benedict Brogan’s tosh in the Torymailygraph, one can be assured that the economic ‘surge’ is doing really well, although the Tory party itself is ‘dying on its feet’. Goody good. Apparently Tory mps’ are nervous. So they ought to be. BTW, there doesn’t seem to be any way of getting to the comments on that article either. I wonder why? Too many Kippers making unimpressed comments? Well, well, who’da thunk it?

Exactly, none of the special measures would need to be taken if the economy was doing fine.

On the money printing point, think leverage on loans, the subtle change to increase bank leverage prior to Carney taking over the BOE to make it a stealth mechanism so he DID NOT HAVE TO PRINT DIRECTLY.

Laughing, with all the manipulations they still cannot get growth and think that is more to do with an economy positioned so high any attempt to push higher results in the law of diminishing returns even negative. A relative thing, what saves the west is in fact the east raising its cost base but the cost to them will be unrest as work is repatriated to country of consumption.

It took me several hours to get my comment published on the article and several bits of severe editing. To save anyone the trouble of reading it calls for more building on everything and fracking. Basically he wants the rules removing to let the sociopaths wreck everything unimpeded by such minor inconveniences as the law and public opinion. I got a highly redacted comment published eventually.

I used to get the Telegraph every day but that was six years ago. Now I don’t bother and watch RT. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Now Jeremy, if the economy is doing sooooo well then let’s stop the money printing and let interest rates return to their normal levels of 5% (ie. a free market).Wake up Jeremy, we are heading for a massive deflationary slump followed by massive money printing which will make BenanaBucks Bernake look like an amateur. Japan is just ahead of the curve on that one.

Regards the trade figures in the previous post (there is no comments section on this post).

Trade figures used to be the No1 billing on the 9 o’clock news, but I have not seen them for more than 15 years. What happened to them? Too embarrassing?

And how are they doing nowadays? I understand they are dire. Anyone got a good graph for them – last 50 years or so?
