I wonder how many of you saw this sanctimonious Newscorp obscenity last week:
A few very simple points will suffice:
1. It seems the subject of this “article” Jill Appleyard received an alleged six-figure sum for it. There’s just one flaw in the defamatory piece: her allegation against Clifford did not get a guilty verdict.
2. How TF would Ms Appleyard “fear there are hundreds more”? She was one accuser, and half the jury didn’t believe her story: what does she know about the price of fish beyond the likelihood that she’d like to have the money to buy any fish she fancied? But The Sun printed it, because Murdoch will pull any cunning stunt to distract attention from his own criminality. Read the copy with care: Roop’s sociopathic legal team have crawled all over every word to ensure that the only person Clifford could sue is her, not Newscorp.
3. The headline He Deserves Eight Years is not in inverted commas. This is truly unpleasant sleight of hand by The Scum: it is her half-baked fame-manic opinion, nothing more. Technically, The Sun could be censured for the omission. Any non-reptilian lawyer up for some free justice might want to ring Max Clifford and ask if he needs any help re this one.
There’s not much I can do here beyond yet again naming all those senior UK politicians who not only apologise for Murdoch the Gangster, they seem able to actively approve of him: Boris Johnson, Jeremy Hunt, Michael Gove and George Osborne.
All of them are candidates for the Conservative Party leadership as and when Cameron fails. Think on this when, some time after May 2015, Grant Shapps starts – along with the criminal quartet above – to realign the Newscorpse image as that of a perfect fit for the role of National Broadcaster.
