I just posted this thread at Jeremy Warner’s column in this morning’s Telegraph:

Euphemism is poured upon optimism. Greece is nearly cured, Spain is turning round….the doom-merchants are wrong.
Homo sapiens is the only species on Earth with full knowledge of the certainty of death….but still suppresses it for more than 98.5% of the time.
Ergo, Man can deny anything and everything if needs be….until it happens.
It has now disappeared. You see, this is what happens if you’re a non-violent extremist.
Just out of interest, it would be really interesting to see if a reader could repost the thread in another name, and see what happens.
