There have been no Slogposts this morning because Windows ‘updated’ me last night, and as a result I know have the world’s most useless search engine, Bing, as a default that won’t undefault.

I have wasted an entire morning of my working life going to Mozilla, Google, following control panel instructions and restarting/shutting down endlessly, but the Bing fing’s still there, innit? In my right-hand corner a ‘free’ file cleaner now wants money, so I’ve told it to go reproduce off by every which way means, but that too is under a disguised malware file, so it keeps on popping up.

As the ultimate software supplier (and per-leeeze, pedants need not apply, we’re talking ethics here) Windows not only tolerates this kind of racket, it collaborates with it….and always has done.

But Windows has been rendered above the law by the munneeeee….along with all the banks, Wonga, Mario Draghi, Newscorp, Bing, Yahoo, Google and all the other pirates out there masquerading as commercial entities.

“Ha-haaar!” yelled Long John, “Avast sum shall be moine, we’ll be sailin’ on the noon scam me scurvy hearties, smart as paint we be Jim lad ha-haaaaar!”

Please Miss, sorry Ms, sorry Person, I want to be above the law. Can you supply a printing press please so I too can have my own little hermetically sealed cloud where I listen to Deff Leppard all the time and move my lips when reading?
