Now and then, the Guardian gets it right:

Whenever people vote no to a phase of integration – as they did in Ireland two years ago – the EU simply orders them to vote again until they produce the right result.”

Hard to better this as a statement of why The Slog can run pieces headed EUSSR, and still not receive a single email or comment thread saying this is an unfair description of the European Union.
