Slog posts have been sporadic over the last 24 hours. Extensive research into those who own and are on board or supporting the Gaza ‘aid’ flotillas is the reason for this; but this is about to change as from later today and tomorrow.

This new Slog investigation will reveal:

* How the Rachel Corrie was bought and why

* Easily traceable links to Leftist organisers with a disruptive economic agenda

* Unbroken threads between the Free Gaza Movement and anti-Israeli movements – terrorist and otherwise

* An overwhelming preponderance of anti-Zionist Ismalic members with active roles.

* The further involvement of wannabe EU-members Turkey.

Read the releases of (and stories about) the blockade-runners, and you will find – as The Slog pointed out last week – a non-stop current of carefully orchestrated phraseology. All the Israeli actions are ‘deadly’, ‘murderous’, ‘brutal’ and ‘bloody’, and their actions those of ‘pirates’. Those involved in testing the blockade, however, are never anything other than peace activists, humanitarian aid workers, human rights activists and -above all – volunteers. The Slog has already shown that, on further investigation, ‘volunteers’ are revealed to be anything but. The forthcoming series will blow apart the myth that the anti-Israel-in-Gaza movement consists largely of concerned, objective Bertrand Russell think-alikes.

This morning, The Independent ran a lead story on the Gaza flotillas entitled ‘The hijacking of truth’. Accepting the fact that the journalists with whom they spoke were all Arabs (and most of those killed Turks) the Indie proceeds to soak up their every word as if it were gospel. Here again, we read about Israel’s ‘bloody assault’, ‘eye-witness accounts’ and ‘deliberately confiscated film’. Unfortunately, physical evidence of this is there none:

“We raised a white-flag”. No evidence. Man shot at close range was journalist. No evidence. Prevented prisoners from using toilets. No corroboration. Put in cramped cells. No corroboration. Not true that some of passengers were terrorist sympathisers. (No evidence…but there will be).
