Bring me my silver bullets…..

Poll shocker for Dave’s 101st Day.

A new ICM poll this morning shows voting intention figures at CON 37%(-1), LAB 37%(+3), LDEM 18%(-1). This is the first time any sane poll has shown Labour catching the Conservatives since October 2007, and the election that Gordon Brown never once considered, not even for a millisecond.

This isn’t great news for Dave and the Cleggerons. However, below the headline is more encouraging stuff: 44% thought the government was doing a good job on securing the economic recovery, compared to 37% who thought it was a bad job; and 42% thought George Osborne was doing a good job, 33% a bad job.

Norman Tebbit was not among those interviewed. But joking apart, a (literally) headless Labour is getting intentions on a par with a Government actually doing something to repair the appalling damage left by the Brownshirts. See earlier Slog comments re: electorate, competence of.
