Judge in haste, look like an idiot soon afterwards
For the first time in over a year, I’m quite looking forward to Prime Minister’s Questions today. It’ll be Unemployment Rise vs Brussels Bollocks.
Last Thursday having allegedly resulted in Britain losing 26-1 (just like old times at the World Cup bid, really) by Sunday a spectrum of UK and EU politicians were already mouthing off, despite the fact that, on the day itself and in the aftermath, it was obvious even by then that the 26 were going to look silly, and the 1 rather more wise.
Commerzbank came as something of a shock for Merkozy. Then, as predicted here, several smaller members began to make doubtful noises. Then the French opposition Presidential Candidate dubbed the Plan a crock. And shortly after Slog source in Washington dismissed the IMF plan as “a fantasy”, German bankers and judges declared it illegal.
Nick Clegg, Alex Salmond, Ed Miliband and even Dennis Skinner are going to look very stupid very soon. But you always know where you are with the Progressives…..they’re always wrong.
Time for PMQs…..
