It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, bad, bad, bad, bad world

From paedophile Tom O’Carroll’s biography:

‘The “sexual revolution” of the late 1960s and early 1970s was a time in which O’Carroll and many others – including philosophers Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida and Louis Althusser plus former red revolutionary and latterly prominent green politician Daniel Cohn-Bendit – felt that liberating children’s sexuality and abolishing the age of consent were issues very much up for debate and action. The increasingly vocal gay liberation movement in these years provided a model, inspiring the establishment of the Paedophile Information Exchange in Britain in 1974, a group that O’Carroll joined in the same year….’

From Today’s Sun:

‘An NCCL press release published in March 1976 with only Patricia Hewitt’s name on it called for both the age of consent to be lowered to 10 and for incest to be legalised. The document says: “NCCL proposes that the age of consent should be lowered to 14, with special provision for situations where the partners are close in age, or where consent of a child over ten can be proved”‘.

Well blimey, somebody’s lying. It’s either Newscorp or the Looney 70s Left. This is a bit like gauging a popularity contest to decide which side of the 1939 Nazi Soviet Pact is the least unpleasant.

The most recent data out of Europe are showing that lending to non-financial corporations fell in January…by €11.7billion – that’s a  2.0% fall. We saw the same fall in December, an both of those stats show an accelerating decline at  the rate of 10%  vis a vis November.

But allegedly, investors are mad for ClubMed bonds, and positively tumescent about getting into the region’s shares.

Even though, in Greece, the same pocket-lining is under way as always. Israel’s Elbit Cochin, Greek Lamda Development, UK-based London and Regional Properties, and Qatari Diar all submitted bids for the 99-year lease and development of a 620-hectare site near central Athens. But three of the runners have dropped out, citing “unreasonable demands” by the Athens Government….leaving Greek Lamda Development all alone as the winner. Well I never.

But the mad optimism doesn’t stop at ClubMed: across the Pond in New York reports that ‘Corporate profits are smashing records every quarter. And banks – the BIG banks – the “Systemic Six” just earned $76 billion in profits last year, just $6 billion shy of their credit bubble era peak….There’s a biotech bubble. It’s breathtaking. 11 of this year’s 14 best performing Russell 2000 stocks are biotechs, 7 of the top 8. The biotech index is up 20% since New Year’s Eve and 70% over the last 12 months….”.

As a result, the younger players are partying as never before: ‘They go out on Saturday night to pre-game for the next morning, wake up half-drunk then start banging vodka drinks at 10 am while a DJ blasts oonce-oonce music and brioche french toast comes flying out of the restaurant’s kitchen. Smashed on a Sunday, dancing on tables in broad daylight, licking maple syrup off each other’s necks….I’m talking about the WASPs on the Upper East Side for god’s sake. It started a year or so ago and now it’s like THEE thing…’

And here it is:

partyingNYESI’m told it was like this in Hitler’s bunker during April 1945.
